[A Touching Bulletin]
i happen to read this bulletin this evening..it touch mii in the inside.. tears came down too..LOL..enjoy it!
She jumped up as soon as she saw thesurgeon come out of the operatingroom. She said: "How is my littleboy? Is he going to be all right? When can I see him?"The surgeon said, "I'm sorry. We didall we could, but your boy didn't makeit."Sally said, "Why do little childrenget cancer? Doesn't God care anymore? Where were you, God, when myson needed you?"
The surgeon asked, "Would you likesome time alone with your son? One ofthe nurses will be out in a fewminutes, before he's transported tothe university."
Sally asked the nurse to stay with herwhile she said goodbye to son. She ranher fingers lovingly through his thickred curly hair. "Would you like alock of his hair?" the nurse asked.Sally nodded yes. The nurse cut alock of the boy's hair, put it in aplastic bag and handed it to Sally.
The mother said, "It was Jimmy's ideato donate his body to the Universityfor Study. He said it might helpsomebody else. "I said no at first, but Jimmy said, 'Mom, I won't be usingit after I die. Maybe it will helpsome other little boy spend one moreday with his Mom."She went on, "My Jimmy had a heart ofgold. Always thinking of someoneelse. Always wanting to help othersif he could."
Sally walked out of Children's MercyHospital for the last time, afterspending most of the last six monthsthere. She put the bag with Jimmy'sbelongings on the seat beside her inthe car.The drive home was difficult. It waseven harder to enter the empty house. She carried Jimmy's belongings, andthe plastic bag with the lock of hishair to her son's room.
She started placing the model cars andother personal things back in his roomexactly where he had always keptthem. She laid down across his bedand, hugging his pillow, cried herselfto sleep. It was around midnight when Sallyawoke. Laying beside her on the bedwas a folded letter. The letter said :
"Dear Mom, I know you're going to missme; but don't think that I will everforget you, or stop loving you, just 'cause I'm not around to say "ILove You". I will always love you,Mom, even more with each day. Somedaywe will see each other again. Untilthen, if you want to adopt a littleboy so you won't be so lonely, that'sokay with me. He can have my room andold stuff to play with. But, if youdecide to get a girl instead, sheprobably wouldn't like the same thingsus boys do. You'll have to buy herdolls and stuff girls like, you know.Don't be sad thinking about me. Thisreally is a neat place. Grandma andGrandpa met me as soon as I got hereand showed me around some, but it willtake a long time to see everything. The angels are so cool. I love towatch them fly. And, you know what? And guess what, Mom? I got to sit onGod's knee and talk to Him, like I wassomebody important. That's when Itold Him that I wanted to write you aletter, to tell you goodbye andeverything. But I already knew thatwasn't allowed. Well, you know whatMom? God handed me some paper and Hisown personal pen to write you thisletter. God asked me to give you theanswer to one of the questions youasked Him 'Where was He when I neededhim?' "God said He was in the sameplace with me, He was right there, asHe always is with all His children.Oh, by the way, Mom, no one else cansee what I've written except you. Toeveryone else this is just a blankpiece of paper. Isn't that cool? Ihave to give God His pen back now. Heneeds it to write some more names inthe Book of Life. I will be havingsupper soon. I'm sure the food will begreat.Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. Idon't feel hurt anymore. The canceris all gone. I'm glad because Icouldn't stand that pain anymore andGod couldn't stand to see me hurt somuch, either. That's when GOD sentThe Angel of Mercy to come get me.The Angel said I was a SpecialDelivery! How about that?
